Here are some picks from New Orleans…as you can tell the first time meeting of my father went great  Also we found the cutest little boutique hotel called The Bienville House that has just been restored in the French Quarter in New Orleans.  Its amazing how the city is finally getting on its feet after hurricane Katrina.  Hurricanes at Pat Obriens, dinner at Galatoires (words cant describe), brunch at the Court of Two Sisters…needless to say we are FULL.  Oh and a little shopping of course ;)

This week is a BIG week.  Its the first time that my boyfriend Luke is coming to Louisiana to meet all of my friends and family.  Not only is it his first time to meet everyone, but its first time to the South.  Hope he is ready for a packed fun filled weekend of good food, hot weather, yummy food, humidity, and great food.  Dont be nervous Luke they will love you…I DO

This weekend I got called to work an event for my old boss Mindy Weiss.  www.mindyweiss.com (I worked for her almost 4 years and still do freelance for her when she needs an extra perfectionist…I love doing events)  The event took place at the Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach, CA and it was beautiful as always.  From chandeliers and colorful candies, to the chic furniture groupings, there was not one detail left out!  It is so amazing to see the building process of a high end event.  Oh and last but not least I enjoyed every minute of working and catching up with my good friend Melissa.  Love you Guys

I know laying out isnt the best for your skin but I cant help it I <3 to do it…so I try to pile the sunscreen on.  I try not to ever really go to tanning beds because everyone knows how bad that is for your body.  BUT I LOVE BEING TAN!!  It makes me feel better, healthier, and skinner  I found a product a couple years ago that I have been obsessed with ever since.  It is an everyday tanning lotion called St. Tropez (yes the same as one of my favorite vacations spots) and obviously if I am obsessed it has to be because it is nothing short of AMAZING.  I think I have finally found the perfect balance…

laying out w/ sunscreen (bc it relaxes me) + st. tropez lotion (bc it tans me and doesnt damage my skin) = bronze healthy skin

So I have had a ROUGH last 7 days or so.  Not only have I had so much work stuff to cram into days that were wayyyy too short, but I also got into a fight with my boyfriend.  I felt like I was being pulled into a million different directions and honestly I was at my max!!!  Anyway, I was sitting by myself (feeling sorry for myself) and I didn’t know what was going to make things better.  Literally 30 minutes later I got an email from a cousin I havent heard from in years and it had a phone number to call her sister.  I didnt know what it had to do with, and Ill be honest, I usually procrastinate, but I actually picked up the phone and called right then.  On the other line was my cousin Gina (who is one of my favorite people in the world)  (She always has such a sense of peace around her and is the most calming person to be around.)  Gina said she was in town.  (She kind of goes with the wind and you never know when you are going to be graced with  her presence.) That was all I needed to hear.  I changed my schedule, picked her up off the side of the road, and talked to her all day and night.  It was just what I needed.  Funny how timing is just sometimes perfect.  I feel like a new person…Thanks Gina…love you!!

I definitely work but I dont work 9 to 5.  I have to say that I think my hours are a lot crazier than that!  Sometimes 730 am till late and sometimes if Im lucky I get to sleep in.  Today have been working with 2 of my best friends Adrienne and Claus on a few secret projects.  I love when I get the chance to work with friends on projects.  Cant wait to fill everyone in on it!  You cant get through life without working on something and everything is much more enjoyable when you get to do it with the people that can always make you laugh.  I’m gonna try to make myself go to sleep.  Night Night

I have been absolutely obsessed with O.N.E. Coconut water since it came out.  Its refreshing, tasty, and loaded with potassium.  If you haven’t tried it, I suggest you should!!  What’s your favorite fruit drink??

everyone was put on this earth for a certain reason and it is our personal job to figure out what we were placed here to do.  my friend lucy last night told me “you have to pray to the light and ask for more direction in your life.”  there’s a problem!!!  which direction do i pray to???  is it the sun, moon, light on the bottom of my lipgloss, camera flashes, the light i see when i close my eyes?  What if it isn’t the plan I have for myself…i’m scared but excited…

i know my potential and i know my god has a plan.  with that said…PLEASE SHOW ME THE LIGHT
